The Te Rau Ora Annual Report 2024 shares the progress, partnerships and collective impact of our mahi during 2023–24.Working alongside whānau, iwi, kaupapa Māori providers and sector partners, we continued to strengthen the Māori health workforce through education, research, leadership, innovation and investment in locally led solutions.

During 2023–24, Te Rau Ora:

Reached 3.2 million people through digital communications.

Supported 1,987 practitioners to complete professional development training.

Supported 242 community and whānau-led initiatives.

Hosted 20 national and regional forums supporting system-level change.

Welcomed 92,800 unique visitors to our digital platforms and online learning.

Invested $5.9 million in local solutions and workforces.

Invested $4.2 million in 420 paid internships with 90 providers.
These results reflect the leadership, knowledge and commitment of kaimahi and kaupapa partners across Aotearoa. Together, we are strengthening Māori health and wellbeing through nationally navigated and locally led solutions.
