Tāne Tika Tonu

The recent impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle have left a lasting effect, not only physically on our homes and communities, but also emotionally and mentally on our people.  

We understand that many men in our community are facing challenges in the recovery and rebuilding process, along with the rising costs of living.  Many may not say anything and carry on as we all do, however we can see the pressures have taken a toll on the wellbeing of Tāne, leading to stressful situations, including the loss of lives through suicide. It is important that we come together as a community to tautoko and whakamana each other as Tāne.   

Join us in Hastings at Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga for a nurturing breakfast dedicated to supporting our tāne. Organised by Te Taitimu Trust and in collaboration with Te Rau Ora, this gathering aims to uplift and empower the tāne in our community.
