Board of Directors

He Ngāti Porou, he Te Whānau ā Apanui, he Ngaati Maniapoto, he Waikato/Tainui ahau. Ko taku wāhi tipu, ko taku kāenga rua, ka noho ki roto i a Ngāti Kahungunu. Ko Diane Koti taku ingoa.

I am an experienced manager with a demonstrated history of working in Primary and Secondary health care. I have an education and vocational background in mental health, as well as skills in management, suicide prevention and postvention, Te Ao Māori, Māori cultural supervision, health intelligence, and community engagement.

As a previous bursar of Te Rau Puawai, I understand the kaupapa of Te Rau Ora – of striving to develop Māori health leadership through education, research and Māori health workforce development opportunities. It is a privilege being a Board Director which allows me to contribute and further support Te Rau Ora from a governance level whilst reflecting on my humble beings into the Te Rau whānau as a Māori health student.

I am inspired by Maria and her team’s commitment to Te Rau Ora in growing our business, aspirations, and Māori health leaders. I am inspired by all of our past, present, and future Māori health leaders for their drive, commitment, and vision. Finally, I am inspired in the potential national and international impact Te Rau Ora can achieve in Māori and indigenous health workforce development.
