New Board Chair, Donovan Clarke
Donovan Clarke (Waikato-Tainui, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Manu, Ngāti Te Ata) has recently been appointed to the role of Chairperson for the Te Rau Ora Company Board of Directors.
Donovan is an experienced senior executive with a proven history of delivering results in the community. He is passionate about transformation and ensuring equity across sectors.
Nationally, Donovan is a leader amongst the community and with Māori. He understands the issues impacting the Māori and the challenges associated with living in the regions. He is a fluent Te Reo speaker and is well connected to both Iwi and Pacifica leaders across the country. He is a change leader having championed significant projects across primary care, mental health and addictions and the disability sector.
Donovan is currently the Chief Executive for Toitū te Waiora (Community, Health, Education and Social Services) Workforce Development Council – which represents industries including Care Services, Disability Services, Education and Educational Support Services, Funeral Services, Health Services, Public Order Safety, Regulatory Services, Skin and Nail Therapy Services, Social Services, and Urban Pest Control.
