I am Ngāi Tahu. I have lived thirty years in a public system, experiencing loss of my own culture and identity. I was able to reclaim my identity and find like-minded people through my association with Te Kete Pounamu.
I am a dedicated member of the kaupapa and all it involved. I am honoured to be part of the very first hui held and am a founding member of the rōpū.
My passion is in the space of restrictive practice, with an ultimate vision to end seclusion in the Mental Health and Addiction sector for our people.
