SUMMARY:He Puna Whakaata - NGO and Community Organisations
DESCRIPTION:Details are as follows:\nDate & Time: 18 July 2024; 9:00 am to 3:30 pm\nLocation:  Te Rau Ora Office – 233 Anglesea Street\, Hamilton Central\nCost: $75+GST to be paid by invoice\nParking: There are two parking buildings within 5 mins walk of the office. No parking on site. \nOnly 20 spots available.\nLunch will be provided. \nRegister today by completing this form \nAbout the Training\nHe Puna Whakaata is a kaupapa Māori based programme that helps to identify someone’s values\, their origins and to dive that little bit deeper into their values. \nParticipants will be taught how to use a range of tools within their practice\, including: \n\nWhai Tikanga cards\nKorurangi\nTe Whare Tapa Whā and\nan updated Pleasant Event Schedule.\n\nThis is an interactive workshop in which participants are taught to use the tools by first using them on themselves. Participants experience what it is like to use the whai tikanga cards as a practitioner and as a client. Learning this way is a chance for clinicians to reflect on their own values. Regardless of a person’s level of understanding of Te Ao Māori (Māori worldview)\, they are able to bring knowledge to a conversation about the cards and what the different values mean to them. \nBy completing the training\, you will receive your own set of Whai Tikanga cards and associated resources. This is the only way to receive access to these resources\, and we do so to maintain the quality\, authenticity\, and integrity of the resources and programme as a whole. \nThis is a one-off delivery for He Puna Whakaata opened to NGO and Community Organisations. \n
